Project Management
From initiating projects to seeking partners and brokering relationships. I am a strong believer in collaboration and working across art forms and the cultural sector. I have a firm foundation of working in schools and participatory arts, bringing people together and making it happen.
Direction
I work with groups from different settings, recognising what each individual can contribute to the creative process. Working with physical performance I tell stories through image and the semiotics of circus. I believe the story begins as soon as the contributors enter the rehearsal space. The journey of the process should contribute to the final performance and as such should be a positive experience for all.
Dramaturgy
How can we tell stories through physical performance, circus and participatory arts? What is the narrative we want to tell? What are the stories that unite us? I believe that physical performance, circus and participatory arts can speak to us in ways that words do not. We relate to them through our own experience. As a dramaturg I seek to reveal the stories that exist within all of us.
