I like undoing knots; any kind of knots real and metaphorical. Through my work as coach, teacher and circus theatre maker the image of the knotted rope often comes to mind.
When I am coaching - it represents the lack of clarity or 'stuckness' we feel. The thing about a knot is, given time, there is always a way to undo it.
As a teacher I realise that the knot can represent the confusion we feel when we don't understand something.
In my circus theatre work the rope is not only a piece of equipment but also reflects the devising process out of which we find our story.
I am not fazed by a knotted rope; negotiating the twists and turns, untying the knots and finding the through line; it is this process that I love.
Trained as a Relational Dynamics 1st Coach I am an accredited coach specialising in the cultural and creative sectors.

With over 20 years experience in arts education I can deliver a range of workshops exploring physical theatre techniques at both beginner and advanced levels.
